Elite Robots showcasing a variety of top-notch solutions at Automatica 2023!

June 28, 2023

One year on from Automatica 2022, held exceptionally last year after the pandemic break (the event is normally biennial, and the next edition will be Automatica 2025), Elite Robots makes a grand return to Automatica 2023.

With the cooperation of professional robotic OEMs Partners, the company is showcasing a variety of top-notch end-to-end solutions for quality control, metrology, and surface treatment.

In this edition, the spotlight is on Elite Robots’ CS series of collaborative robots. Officially launched in the present year, this new cobot line features a new hardware and software infrastructure delivering user-friendliness, enhanced safety, and high expandability. The CS series also achieves new milestones in terms of payload capacity, boasting peak payloads of 20kg and 25kg.

CS620 (20 kg payload) unleashes its full strength and reach during an in-house test at the company’s plant.

With its comprehensive parser that offers full support for Python scripting, the CS Series stands out by providing unparalleled flexibility and high-level programming capabilities. One of its notable features is the ability to develop customized graphical task and configuration plugins, empowering users to tailor the system to their specific needs. Additionally, the CS Series incorporates a platform for robot simulation and programming, further enhancing its versatility.

The CS Series’ advanced software infrastructure has enabled seamless integration with leading computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) products, resulting in the creation of cutting-edge solutions like the “Mantis Mini” and the CAM-integrated offline programming system by Go2CAM.

The result of a collaboration between MQS AG, Eleven Dynamics GmbH, and Elite Robots, the revolutionary Mantis Mini combines Elite Robots CS66 arm and Scantech SIMSCAN, a high-resolution handheld 3D boasting an acquisition speed of 2,020,000 points/s alongside 20 microns accuracy.

The new Mantis Mini sets the gold standard in metrology automation

At its core lies the innovative, data-driven NEXOS AIR software by Eleven Dynamics, which provides fully automated measurements and evaluation through its speed, adaptability, and intuitiveness.

This synergy births the next generation of measuring arms,  paving the way for unprecedented levels of efficiency, precision, and scalability.

Also equipped with the CS66 robotic arm, the integrated offline CAM programming solution developed by French company GO2cam with its namesake software (now upgraded to version 6.10) offers high flexibility, speed, and consistency in tasks such as grinding, polishing, and deburring. It is recommended in two main areas: machined metal parts (including in the aerospace industry) and dental purposes prosthetics parts.

Another top metrology solution specifically designed for accurately assessing large parts in record time is the one integrating the new top of the line EC cobot, EC61419 (and its 1900mm reach) with the FreeScan 3D scanner from leading Chinese manufacturer Shining 3D.

Thanks to the unique features of Elite Robots’ collaborative arm, which ensures accurate inspection and photography of products within a spherical space of 1.9 m without relying on an external axis, no part is too big to be inspected flawlessly.

For its part, the FreeScan device provides crisp and detailed point clouds, at blazing-fast capture speeds.

With an incredible working area of up to 1900mm, the EC64-19 robot ensures that no part is too big to be inspected flawlessly.

Also making its European debut is Elite Robots’ new top-of-the-line CS series: the CS620.

Featuring a 20 kg payload, an 1800 mm reach, and an industry-leading speed of up to 3.9 m/s (that exceeds counterparts by up to 35%), CS620 is perfect for efficiently performing medium to high payload applications such as palletizing and welding.

Equipped with a dual tool connector (8-pin and 4-pin), the robot arm can supply end effectors through a 5A tool I/O.  This ensures that the cobot can always meet the power supply demand of high-power and high-load end tools and handle multiple devices simultaneously.

The CS Series feature a sturdy robotic arm with IP68 protection, to withstand dust, production debris, and water.

CS620 will soon be joined by Elite Robots’ new heavyweight champion, CS625. Powered by the same 5A output source, CS625 features a maximum payload of 25kg and a radius of 1500mm, slightly sacrificing reach for greater robustness, accuracy, and strength.

Like all other models in the CS series, CS620 and CS625 comply with ISO 10218-1 and ISO 13849-1 standards and feature an IP68 degree of protection and an ISO class 5 cleanroom.

Finally, there is also room for the entry-level of the CS series, the CS63 collaborative robot. Equipped with a drawing tool and camera and powered by Elite Robots’ proprietary software, the small yet powerful cobot brings to life a robotic drawing solution fully developed by the robotics company.

Experience these solutions and their full potential at HALL B4 – BOOTH 311. You have until Friday, June 30!
